A Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the cloud-based infrastructure of an organization. They manage cloud servers, storage, and networking systems, and ensure they are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. They work closely with development teams to ensure the infrastructure meets their needs and with security teams to ensure the infrastructure is compliant with industry standards. They also troubleshoot and resolve any infrastructure issues that may arise. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform is essential for this role.

Key Skills :

Cloud computing platforms: A strong understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and their associated services.

Networking: Experience with network design and implementation, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls.

Automation: Proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet, to automate the deployment and management of infrastructure.

Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls in a cloud environment.

Monitoring and logging: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Nagios, and ELK stack.

Scripting and programming: Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, and Bash, and programming languages such as Java and C++.
